Choice Events and Promotions Present’s Rotary REunion 2022

February 11th, 12th & 13th 2022 – Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park in Taupo.

Saturday and Sunday the 12th & 13th will have a full timetable that includes the following…

Cruise Sessions – Drive your mates around the ‘Track 5’ configuration at Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park in your car. This session is for cruising only at your own pace and any excessive speed by drivers will be slowed. If you pass an excessive number of vehicles on any lap you will be shown the yellow flag and given a warning. Any reckless driving around other vehicles is not accepted and will be dealt with, and this can include removal of your driver’s band and vehicle’s Entry stickers – there will be NO REFUND to your entry fee if you lose your drivers band

Drags – Drop Flag street-style drag racing, first across the line, and fun/grudge racing. Snell/DOT or ECE Rated Car Helmets are required (and NOT MX Helmets) & covered footwear is compulsory, race suits are preferred and encouraged – but long sleeves and long pants are accepted.

Burnouts – Open burnout pad, judged and non judged burnouts Just have a go! Helmets & covered footwear are compulsory, and race suits are preferred – but long sleeves and long pants are accepted. MX Helmets are accepted but ‘German style’ Helmets are not.

Drifting – The drift section of the track will be open at scheduled times of the day to approved drivers via application only. This is to showcase Rotary’s in drifting, Not to have a go. A Snell/DOT or ECE Rated Car Helmet (NOT MX Helmet) with a Head and Neck Restraint is compulsory, along with a minimum Single Layer SFI Rated race suit, SFI/FIA rated Gloves & covered footwear. Your car must be fitted with minimum 4 Point Harnesses for driver and passenger. Passengers are allowed only if your car has a roll cage with side intrusion bars, and with the minimum safety gear as mentioned for the driver.

Grip Sessions – Fewer cars on track compared to a cruise session, so more open spaces with an open speed limit, go as fast as you can! A Snell/DOT or ECE Rated Car Helmet (NOT MX Helmets), minimum Single Layer SFI/FIA Rated race suit, SFI/FIA rated Gloves & covered footwear are compulsory for this session. Passengers are allowed only if your car has a roll cage with minimum 4 point harnesses, and with the minimum safety gear as mentioned. 3-Point factory seatbelts are ok for drivers only if harnesses aren’t present.

Show N Shine – Everyone entered in the main part of the day qualifies for our list of Show n Shine Award trophies.

Registration and gates open, will be available for entrants from 10am Friday the 11th of February, where competitors can have their vehicle check processed and complete drivers registration, so they are all ready for the Saturday. Cruise Sessions may be open from 1pm till 5pm, and the Gates Close Friday at 5pm (No Later!) . Gates open again at 7am on Saturday, and 8am Sunday. The Vehicle Check and Drivers Registration process will be open all day every day, you do not have to be at the track by any time, make your own time!

Entries are OPEN! – and limited to the first 400 Entries Only. Your entry fee includes Vehicle and 1 Driver entry to ALL sessions as above. No Part event entries sorry.
No Wof? No Reg? No Cert? – No worries!! This is a racetrack – BUT, your car must pass a safety check before being able to go out on track, this includes but is not limited to Having – a secure battery, working brake lights, safety belts or harnesses up to standard, undergoing a fuel and wiring system inspection etc.
A Minimum Restricted Drivers license is required to be a driver at our events.

COVID 19 – To meet obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, Bruce McLaren Motorsport park is now vaccine mandated. In short, this means that for any ‘Choice Events’ event, under the current guidelines, this requires every person over the age of 12 years and 3 months, to show an official ‘My Vaccine Pass’ before entering the site. We will update this info, if there are any changes prior to the event.

  • Early Bird Entry (First 100 Entries) – $200
  • Second Release Entry (Second 100 Entries) – $230
  • Standard Release Entry (Next 100 Entries) – $260
  • Standard Release Entry (Final 100 Entries) – $300
  • Gate Sales – $300 (If entries not sold out prior)

Pit Garages at this stage are SOLD OUT as reserved for event Sponsors and pre-booked from prior years for this event… Sorry for any inconvenience.

Spectator Pricing

  • Adults Weekend Pass $50, or $30 Per Day
  • Kids Pass Age 5-12 $10 Weekend (or day)
  • Under 5 Free

No pre-purchase tickets sorry. EFTPOS or Cash is available at the Gate’s.

Extra (Secondary) drivers – are additional to General Admission fees, and are for anyone who will be wanting to drive a car as an extra driver. They must attend a drivers briefing and fill out the paperwork required and there is a fee of $50 per extra driver. A Minimum Restricted Drivers license is required to be a driver at our events.

Passengers – All passengers that go out on track are required by Bruce Mclaren Motorsport Park to sign an indemnity form before being allowed out on track. To make sure this is done passengers bands are issued to all passengers. These can be purchased from the registration room also on the first floor in the pit building. There is a newly introduced “Minimum Required Height Rule” for passengers. There is no age limit but you must be at least 148cm tall.
Note: Drivers bands double up as Passenger bands, you do not need to purchase both.

There is to be NO Alcohol Brought onto the venue.  Vehicles will be checked and any found will be confiscated upon entering the venue

**This event will be run under the relevant government guidelines and/or mandates that exist around vaccination eligibility for events and venues at the time of the event, this may change between the time of ticket purchase and the event itself. And as per the above conditions, there are No Refunds.
